Computer Addition

When a new computing station is added, it requires a number of configuration and network parameters be setup and the added network infrastructure to support it.  When the facility requires new network connections to support the computer and printer it can be completed in a single visit.

Plan

Consult with Customer to develop a Fast Track solution.

Schedule just in time delivery with PC Manufacturer.

Prepare a communication plan and rollout schedule, notify store management.

Deploy

Furnish Material:  TIA Certified Category 5 Cable, CAT 5 B Jacks, and conduit stocked to installation team.

Installation: Assured that electrical and data cable conduit is not intermingled.  Cable was pulled in new conduit.  Terminated at far end to jack and near end to patch panel.  Cable was tagged to identify usage for the computer per IT instructions.  Computer and Printer was set and tested.  Computer network configuration was entered.

Run

Cable tested for TIA compliance and results recorded to customer database for future reporting.  Switch port and jack number identified and recorded.

PC and printer tested for network connectivity.  Assets recorded with model number and serial number.

Project completed with full reporting on services time stamp (start/stop), arrive/depart and photo documentation.
