Today meeting the needs of the retail customer requires both great products and technology to assist the buyer so they feel comfortable in their decision making and product selection.  Technology in golf equipment addresses all levels of skill in golfers and requires technology to help retailers fit golfers based on their skill level and game characteristics.  When a National Golf Retailer needed to install the latest technology to analyze their customer’s game they turned to Source One to help deploy their technology.  The project required retrofitting the facility to support swing analyzers, DVD recorders, computer work stations, printers and 40″ monitors.  Installation required (4) CAT 5 B Data Jacks and 3 Dedicated 20 Amp 120 VAC receptacles.

Plan

Consult with Customer to develop an agreed upon schedule.

Work was scheduled with a 60 day deployment interval.

Build

Furnish Material: TIA Certified Category 5 Cable, CAT 5 B Jacks, and electrical receptacle shipped and stocked to installation team.

Installation: Assured that electrical and data cable conduit is not intermingled.

Installed new electrical cable to support (3) 20 Amp 120 VAC circuits and receptacle.

Data Cable was pulled in existing conduit to quad wall jack.  Terminated at far end to jack and near end to patch panel.  Cable was tagged to identify usage for each data component.

Operate

Cable tested for TIA compliance and results recorded to customer database for future reporting.

Project completed with full reporting on services time stamp (start/stop), arrive/depart and photo documentation.
